Who is responsible for your information

Process Measurement & Analysis Limited (PMA) operates the PTV 1000 development website and is responsible for the personal information it uses in connection with it. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 01015471. Our registered office is Brook Mills House, Carr Lane, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, HD7 5BG, United Kingdom.

This notice covers browsing the PTV 1000 development site, using its interactive features and getting in touch with PMA about them. For a privacy question or to exercise a right, email privacy@pma.uk.com, call 01484 843 708 or write to the registered office.

What happens when you visit

Cloudflare delivers and protects the pages, images and other resources you request. In doing so, it can process information such as your IP address, browser details, the resource requested and the time of the request. We rely on our legitimate interests in making the site available, diagnosing problems and protecting it from abuse.

You can read the site, use the configurator and download the technical documents without providing contact details. This preview has no optional analytics or advertising tags. Our cookies and browser storage page explains how interactive features work and what happens when you choose to play an embedded video.

Information you enter on the site

The preview enquiry form asks for your name, email, subject, company, town or city, telephone number, site application and message, along with a privacy acknowledgement. The form validates those fields in your browser. It does not transmit the entry to PMA, retain a submission or trigger an email. Use sample details when checking the form.

The configurator keeps your current selections in the open page. If you download the brief, the browser creates a text file on your device with those selections. PMA receives the brief only if you decide to share it separately.

How we use information you send to PMA

If you contact us by phone, email or post, we use the details you choose to give us to understand the request, reply and arrange any follow-up. That can include your contact details, organisation, application, site circumstances and any documents you send. We may need enough information to identify an instrument or understand the service you are asking for.

For general enquiries and correspondence with business contacts, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding and providing support. If you personally ask us to take steps towards a contract or to supply something under a contract, we use the information needed for those steps or to fulfil it. We may also use information to meet a legal obligation. Contacting PMA about the PTV 1000 does not subscribe you to marketing.

Who can receive information

PMA staff who need to handle your request can access the correspondence. Providers that support hosting, email or IT may process the information needed to deliver their service. We may disclose information if the law requires it or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Some providers operate internationally. Where the UK rules on international transfers apply, the relevant arrangements may include adequacy regulations or contractual safeguards. You can ask us about the arrangements that apply to your information. If you play a YouTube demo or open an external link, that provider also handles your visit under its own privacy terms.

Retention and security

We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to resolve the enquiry and handle any related supply or support. The period depends on what the request leads to, the need to retain a record of advice or work and any applicable accounting, legal or claims requirements. Technical records kept by service providers follow separate operational retention arrangements.

HTTPS protects data in transit when you browse this site. Access to real correspondence is limited through PMA’s business systems. Keep passwords, payment-card details and information unrelated to your request out of messages. If you want to know how long a particular record is held, contact us using the details above.

Your rights and choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and to correct details that are inaccurate or incomplete. Depending on the circumstances, you can also ask for deletion, a restriction on use or a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it for future use.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to use of your personal information for direct marketing. Email privacy@pma.uk.com and describe what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information.

If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, you can raise it with PMA or complain directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
