Using the PTV 1000 website
We aim to make it straightforward to find product information, compare the optical models and contact PMA, whether you use a phone, a keyboard or assistive technology. The layout adapts to the available screen width. Headings describe each section, controls have labels and images that convey information have text alternatives.
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 as a reference when improving the site. This is a development preview and a full assessment against WCAG 2.2 Level AA is pending.
Keyboard, zoom and motion
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between links and controls. The first link lets you skip to the main content. Enter opens links and Space or Enter activates buttons where supported by your browser. Use the arrow keys to change a selected radio option in the configurator. Press Escape to close the mobile menu or dismiss the product menu.
Browser zoom can enlarge text and controls. Use Command and + on a Mac or Ctrl and + on Windows, or open your browser’s zoom settings. The contact page also provides a Pause logos control for its moving client logos. The site honours reduced-motion settings for several transitions and animations.
Product videos and technical documents
The video demo page gives each video a descriptive title and a short explanation of the task. The video player and availability of captions depend on the video provider. If you need the information from a demo in writing, tell us the video title and the part of the procedure you need.
Some files in technical resources come from the manufacturer. The reading order, diagram descriptions and other accessibility features can vary from one file to another. Contact PMA if a diagram, specification or set of instructions is hard to use. Tell us which document and which part you need so we can discuss a suitable format.
Reporting an accessibility problem
If you have difficulty using a page, tell us what you were trying to do and which page or document was involved. If you are comfortable sharing it, include the browser, device or assistive technology you used. This can help us reproduce the problem. For example, knowing that a keyboard could reach the configurator but could not move to its next step gives us a specific interaction to check.
Call 01484 843 708 or use the direct contact details on the PTV enquiries page. If you need product information now, let us know what you need and how you prefer to receive it.
